      The public may address the Committee on any matter within the jurisdiction of the Committee. This should not relate to any item on this agenda since the Committee will take public comment after it discusses and/or before voting on each agenda item. The Committee requests that each person limit him/herself to three minutes.

      c. Shared Mode Working Group – Proposal for PSAC, SFBC, BAC, WalkSF, SAN, MDC, SFPD, DPH development of joint resolution: Cooperative Use of Streets and Sidewalks.

    7. State of Cycling Report – The MTA has requested feedback on the draft report prior to finalization and publication, delayed at the request of the SFBC and BAC. Copies will be available to the public at the meeting.

    8. Continuing Status Review on Spot Project Requests – The lifting of the Bike Plan injunction has already resulted in a large expansion of bicycle treatments throughout the City. While overall they are working as expected, we have been notified of some necessary spot projects that would clarify and improve use of the routes at little cost:

      'Bikes allowed full use of lane' on Market St near Buchanan - Closed

      b. Signage on the ‘Schrader Valve notifying motorists on Schrader with a more conspicuous sign than presently; and notifying westbound cyclists with path cross-hatching and signage to route cyclists to the crossing at Schrader. We still observe a lot of cyclists riding into Stanyan Westbound directly from the Panhandle, many with bike rental bags on the front. - Pending

      c. Stockton Contra-Lane Study – Presently cyclists trying to reach the Stockton Tunnel from the South and West have no efficient way to legally ride to the Tunnel. A one block contra-lane from Post to Stockton would allow cyclists to ride up Powell to Post and ride the one block to the Tunnel. – To be addressed in subway project planning

      d. Improved Signage at for Cesar Chavez Bike Lane at 101 – Cyclists riding on Bayshore Northbound and CC Southbound are often confused about entering and tracking the pathway. Supervisor Cohen recently commented on attempting to ride the Chavez ‘Hairball’. – In Review

      Signage at Market and Castro Northbound guiding bicyclists to the 17th/Corbett route, instead of Market Street to Portola Westbound. – In Review

      Extend the Post Street bike lane from Steiner to Webster – Pending new merchant survey

      Sharrows on Geneva between Moscow and Brookdale – Pending Work Order Issuance

      Add a bike signal on Market at the 12th Street intersection – In Review

      Additional signage on Kezar Path between Lincoln Way and 3rd Avenue – Sign In Review

    11. Highway 35 – Propose plan for transfer of California State Highway 35 to the City and County of San Francisco, Sloat Boulevard and Skyline Boulevard to John Muir Drive.

    12. Review and Actions on Civil Grand Jury Conclusions – As the coordinating agency, the BAC has responsibility to monitor progress on the findings of the Civil Grand Jury, “Sharing the Roadway, From Confrontation to Conversation.” In November, the Office of the Mayor signed concurrence with the Board of Supervisors changes to the Grand Jury findings. The document requires conforming of changes into a unitary revision, allowing for the BAC to develop a proposed plan for completing actions on the findings

    13. Safety Improvements for Shared Pedestrian and Bicyclist Access on the GG Bridge – A resolution with recommendations to support safety for all non motor vehicle users on the side multi-purpose lane during construction on the West side of the Golden Gate Bridge.
      Action: Resolution Approval

    14. Prop. K 5 Year Prioritization Program (5YPP) – The MTA has requested that the BAC comment on the draft document as soon as possible. The compilation of comments will be reviewed and assimilated as appropriate in the final document. Members and the public should be prepared to make specific comments in this public forum.

    15. Adjournment

Room 408 of City Hall is wheelchair accessible. The closest accessible BART Station is Civic Center, three blocks from City Hall.
