III. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT DISCUSSION
A. Executive Director's Report 10 min.
Explanatory document: The Executive Director’s Report discusses the work of the Department based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan which reflects the principles of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
IV. CONSENT AGENDA ACTION 10 min.
All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda and are considered to be routine by the Commission on the Status of Women. They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. Members of the public may speak on each item listed on the Consent Agenda.

A. Children’s Fund Renewal 15 min.
Girls Alliance Executive Director Emma Mayerson will provide an update on the status of including recommendations about the needs of girls in the Children’s Fund renewal discussion.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
A. Gender Analysis of the Fire Department 15 min.
Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White will provide an update on the 2011 gender analysis of the Fire Department examination.
B. UN Commission on the Status of Women 58 Presentation 15 min.
Department Fellows Iris Wong and Tara Gamboa-Eastman will provide a report on the Department’s participation in the UN Commission on the Status of Women 58 meetings in New York.
C. Male Champions for Change 10 min.
Janet Morrison Menzies, who serves on the Secretariat for the organization “Male Champions for Change,” started by the Australian Commissioner of Sex Discrimination Elizabeth Broderick, will provide a brief overview.

Commissioners can report on activities related to the work of the Commission.
