the Status of Women.  They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item.  Members of the public may speak on each item listed

C. Honoring Curry Senior Center, Res. 2006-005: Resolution recognizing the work of the Curry Senior Center to seniors of San Francisco.

D. Honoring the Japanese Delegation, Res. 2006-006: Resolution recognizing the Japanese delegation on domestic violence.

E. Honoring Aileen Hernandez, Res. 2006-007: Resolution recognizing Aileen Hernandez as a 2006 National Women's History Month Honoree: Builders of Communities and Dreams.

A.  City College International Women's Day Vivian Caldron 10  min
Ms. Caldron will discuss a City College International Women's Day event, sponsored by Latino Services Network and the Women' Studies Department, which features Dolores Huerta and Elba Sanchez.

B.  Agencies Response to Disaster  Shelter Staff                   20 min.
Executive Director Kathy Black from La Casa de las Madres, Program Director Jennifer Grant from the Riley Center, and Maintenance Coordinator Geene Gonzales from the Asian Women's Shelter will discuss their agencies' disaster response plans.

C.  Urban University  Tracey Weaver               10 min.            
Ms. Weaver will give a presentation on "Moms at Work," a program that helps single working mothers balance work and life.

This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission's purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for Commission's future consideration.

Limited accessible street parking available.  Accessible MUNI Metro station in the Van Ness Station and lines are J, K, L, M and N.  Accessible MUNI Lines are the 6, 7, 9, 42, 47, 49, and 71 lines.   Accessible seating for persons with disabilities (including those using wheelchairs) will be available.  Meeting proceedings available in alternative formats.  In order to assist the City's efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to various chemical based products.  Please help the City to accommodate these individuals.  To obtain a disability-related modification or accommodation, including auxiliary aids or services, to participate in the meeting, please contact the Department on the Status of Women at least two business days before the meeting at 415-252-2570 (Voice) or 415-252-2550 (TTD).  The Board of Supervisors has amended the Sunshine Ordinance by adding provision 67A.1.  The provision is effective as of January 21, 2001.
