a. Incompatible Activities Statement Deputy Director Navarrette 10 min.
In November 2003, the voters of San Francisco adopted Proposition E, which revised and updated the City’s conflict of interest laws. Proposition E took effect on December 5, 2003. Among the significant changes that Proposition E made was to require all City departments, boards, and commissions to develop statements identifying "incompatible activities."
Action: To approve the Commission’s Incompatible Activities Statement.
b. Violence Against Women (VAW) Programs Senior Policy Analyst Donnola 15 min.
Based on input from the VAW Review Panel, the VAW Funding Committee will submit recommendations for the Prevention, Education & Training for Underserved Populations category for the 2004-2007 funding period.

Action: To approve the recommendations of the VAW Funding Committee for the 2004-2007 funding allocation period.

f. Women’s Meeting with Mayor Newsom President Shorter 10 min.
On July 14th, members of the Commission, the Department, women-focused agencies and other women leaders were invited to meet with Mayor Newsom to discuss the following items and their impact on the women and girls of San Francisco: budget cuts, housing, child-care, minority/women/locally-owned business ordinance and domestic violence.
Action: To adopt next steps, including the possible formation of task forces with the Mayor's Office, the City Attorney and District Attorney, Supervisors and/or other agencies regarding:
1. Women and Employment
2. Status of Women in San FranciscoGovernment
3. Prostitution
4. Child Care
