June 5, 2018, Consolidated Statewide Direct Primary Election: Nomination Period for the Offices of Mayor and Member of the Board of Supervisors, District 8, Closes on January 9

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, January 8, 2018 – The nomination period closes on Tuesday, January 9 for candidates for the office of Mayor and for the office of the District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors. The offices of Mayor and District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors will both appear on the ballot for the June 5, 2018, election.

Candidates must submit all nomination documents, signatures, and fees to the Department of Elections by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, to appear on the ballot.

Note that the nomination period for candidates for other federal, state, and local offices that will appear on the ballot in the June 2018 election begins on February 12 and ends on March 9. A complete list of offices appearing on the June 2018 ballot is available at sfgov.org/elections/future-elections-0.
