Notice of Schedule Change: Logic and Accuracy Testing of Optech 400-C Machines

SAN FRANCISCO, Thursday, September 29, 2016– Logic and Accuracy testing of Optech 400-C machines to be used in the November 8, 2016, election has been rescheduled to begin on Friday, October 7, 2016.  Members of the public are welcome to observe the testing, either in person or via live streaming on sfelections.org/live.

The revised schedule for Logic and Accuracy testing is as follows:

Testing Schedule:

  • Optech Insight machines, used at the polling places on Election Day

When: Monday, October 3–Tuesday, October 11 (weekdays only), 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with a break from noon to 1 p.m.

Where: At the Department’s warehouse, located at Pier 48, Shed B

  • Optech 400-C machines, used primarily to tabulate vote-by-mail ballots

When: Friday, October 7, 2016, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with a break from noon to 1 p.m. 

Where: At the Department’s computer room, located in City Hall, Room 48.

  • AVC Edge II accessible voting machines, provided at the City Hall Voting Center and at the polling places on Election Day

When: Wednesday, October 12–Friday, October 21 (weekdays only), 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with a break from noon to 1 p.m.

Where: At the Department’s warehouse, located at Pier 48, Shed B
