Please post this agenda for homeless and formerly homeless people. All LOCAL HOMELESS COORDINATING BOARD (LHCB) meetings are public. Homeless and formerly homeless San Franciscan’s are encouraged to attend LHCB meetings.

 

Note: Public Comment will be taken after each agenda item. Public comment must pertain to the agenda item. Each public comment is limited to 2 minutes. General public comment is taken at the end of the meeting.

II.Minutes from July meeting- 5 min (for action)

 

III.Mayor’s Housing Opportunity Partnerships, and Engagement (HOPE) Office-  10 min (for discussion and possible action): Standing agenda item for update from Bevan Dufty, Director of Mayor’s Office of HOPE

 

IV.25 Cities Initiative in San Francisco—10 min (for discussion and possible action) Dave Lopez of Swords to Plowshares will share the plans of the 25 Cities San Francisco community team. The plans include a registry week of outreach to homeless veterans on August 18, 19, and 21.

 

V.Proposed Change to federal definition of homelessness- 10 min (for discussion and possible action) Paul Boden of the Western Regional Advocacy Project (WRAP) will present information about a new proposed definition of family and youth homelessness.

 

VI.Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Committee Recommendations—10 min (for action): Alissa Weber of HomeBase and the Center for Common Concerns will present the recommendations of the July 21, 2014 HMIS Committee Meetings for consideration.

 

VII.2014 Re-Allocation Priority Discussion—10 min (for action): Megan Owens, Local Homeless Coordinating Board Policy Analyst will provide an update on 2014 Continuum of Care Program Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) funds that will be available for re-allocation. Megan Owens will present a framework of Local Homeless Coordinating Board Priorities for the funds for consideration.

SUBMITTING WRITTEN PUBLIC COMMENT TO THE LOCAL HOMELESS BOARD

Persons who are unable to attend the public meeting may submit to the Local Homeless Board, by the time the proceedings begin, written comments regarding the subject of the meeting.  These comments will be made a part of the official public record, and brought to the attention of the Local Homeless Board.  Written comments should be submitted to: Megan Owens, LHCB Policy Analyst – ZB25, Department of Human Services, P.O.
