Muni Metro Subway Service Disruption Begins July 22

Dear Colleagues,

The Muni Metro Subway will shut down early on weeknights and for four weekends to test the new light rail trains. Five new train cars were delivered earlier this year and are being prepped to go into service by the end of this year.

Rigorous testing will begin on Saturday, July 22 (start of regular service) until Sunday, August 20 (end of regular service).

During Subway closure, a bus bridge will operate between Embarcadero Station and St. Francis Circle, making stops at Subway stations. Muni Metro will still operate on the surface streets.
