STATEMENT OF THE SAN FRANCISCO IMMIGRANT RIGHTS COMMISSION
JANUARY 26, 2017
Our city and nation should be a welcoming place for all people who aspire to build better lives for their families and contribute to America’s greatness. Exclusionary policies have proven over time to be ineffective and the executive orders issued today by The White House ignore due process, civil liberties and the core values of this great nation. We are so very disappointed that the President is not working to unify all Americans and build greater trust in the government that should be representing all the people.
The Immigrant Rights Commission hosts its regular meetings on the second Monday of each month at Hearing Room 416, San Francisco City Hall.
