  • January 1, 2015:  $11.05/hour
  • January 1, 2014:  $10.74/hour
  • January 1, 2013:  $10.55/hour
  • January 1, 2012:  $10.24/hour
  • January 1, 2011:   $9.92/hour
  • January 1, 2010:   $9.79/hour
  • January 1, 2009:   $9.79/hour
  • January 1, 2008:   $9.36/hour
  • January 1, 2007:   $9.14/hour
  • January 1, 2006:   $8.82/hour
  • January 1, 2005:   $8.62/hour ($7.75 for nonprofit & small business)
  • February 23, 2004:  $8.50/hour (nonprofit & small business exempt)

 

 

Government Supported Employee Historical Rate

 

A small number of "Government Supported Employees" are subject to a minimum wage rate of $12.87 as of July 1, 2017. Only the following types of employees should be paid this rate: 

  1. Employees under the age of 18 and employed as an after-school or summer Employee in a bona fide training or apprenticeship program in a position that is subsidized by the federal, state, or local government; or

  2. Employees over the age 55 and are employed by a Non-Profit Corporation that provides social welfare services as a core mission to individuals who are over the age of 55 and is in a position that is subsidized by federal, state, or local government. This category is subject to additional limitations. See San Francisco Administrative Code Section 12R.3
