Biosciences Task Force
The San Francisco Biosciences Task Force, created by Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 217-03 (PDF), was charged with recommending land use and zoning policies for consideration by the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission with respect to the location of the bioscience industry in San Francisco.
Because land use in San Francisco includes community acceptance as well as zoning, the Task Force agreed to give consideration to other issues that relate to the mandate of the Resolution, particularly concerns about environmental health and safety for workers and neighbors.
The Task Force first met on October 7, 2003 and completed its work on February 10, 2005, unanimously approving its final report, researched and written by its members.Â
