7.     Resolution on Endorsement for Passage of the ‘Idaho Stop Law’ – The California Vehicle Code was
largely crafted with regard to motorist’s use of vehicles on public roadways. The slower speeds and
balancing challenges of people on bicycles were not considered. The State of Idaho Vehicle code
recognizes the differences with wording that maintains the goals of intersection safety, without the
limitations placed on bicyclists.

8.    Resolution in Support of AB 40 Banning Pedestrian and Bicycle Tolls on the Golden Gate Bridge – In order to meet budgetary demands, the GG Bridge District staff has offered a number of proposals for possible consideration, including evaluation of charging tolls for bicycles. Assembly member Phil Ting has sponsored a resolution banning this, which was initially opposed by the District, offering consideration for a 'Neutral' position if the law was expanded to include all state bridges with a separated bikeway. The bill has passed the legislature and is awaiting Governor Brown’s signature.
