2. Introduction to Redistricting (Discussion) The RDTF will present an overview of redistricting and hear public comment regarding communities of interest. Karin MacDonald, Project Manager and Senior Redistricting Consultant for Q2 Data & Research, will lead the discussion.

3. Presentation by former RDTF Member and current District 1 Supervisor Eric Mar (Discussion)

 

4. Data Sources and Criteria for District Boundaries (Discussion and possible action) The Task Force will discuss required criteria, optional additional criteria, and data sources, and may take action to adopt criteria or select data sources. Karin MacDonald, Project Manager and Senior Redistricting Consultant for Q2 Data & Research, will lead the discussion.

 

5. Community Outreach (Discussion and possible action) The Task Force will discuss community meetings and other outreach activities, including but not limited to a proposal to cancel the regularly scheduled meeting of December 7, 2011 and hold a Special Off-Site meeting on December 7, 2011 at 6pm at Horace Mann Middle School Auditorium.

 

6. Approval of RDTF Minutes of October 21, 2011 (Discussion and possible action) 

 

7. Task Force Member Reports (Discussion) Individual members of the Task Force will report on their respective discussions with members of the public or public officials concerning the Task Force's future work.

 

8. Public Comment: Members of the public may address the Redistricting Task Force on matters that are within the Task Force’s jurisdiction, but not on today’s agenda.

Public Comment

Public Comment will be taken before or during the Task Force’s consideration of each agenda item. Speakers may address the Task Force for up to three minutes on that item. During General Public Comment, members of the public may address the Task Force on matters that are within the Task Force’s jurisdiction and are not on the agenda.

The Hall of Flowers is wheelchair accessible. The closest accessible Metro Line is the N-Judah, one long block from the meeting site. Accessible MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 44, 71 and 43.
