The Department of Human Resources established this website to provide resources and tools designed to assist workgroups with their workforce and succession planning (WSP) process. The website supports our mission to provide leadership in workforce planning and training services that enable City government to accomplish its goal of providing quality services to citizens and visitors of San Francisco. It is your workgroup that can best determine the strategies that will help you reach your operational goals by having right people. Here you will find information concerning the rationale, process, and requirements of workforce planning, data on the workforce, as well as step-by-step guides, templates, resource lists, and information on specific content areas. This is also a forum to share information on workforce and succession planning successes and challenges.
