1. Call to Order and Roll Call

Commissioner Mao called the meeting to order at 5:42pm. Commissioners present: Lily Marshall-Fricker, Jarrett Mao, Cris Plunkett. Commissioners absent: Giovanna Soto, Erica Kong. Staff present: Leah LaCroix, Kiely Hosmon. There was quorum. There was no public comment.

 

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)

 

Commissioner Plunkett, seconded by Commissioner Marshall-Fricker, moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)

Commissioner Plunkett, seconded by Commissioner Marshall-Fricker, moved to approve the minutes. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

4. Public Comment on Items not on Agenda (Discussion Only)


There was none. Member of the public from SFSU in attendance observing structure of the meeting.

5. Business (All Items to Follow Discussion and Possible Action)

A. Preparing for meeting with Jeff Kositsky, Director of the Department of Homelessness Commissioners brainstormed questions and created a simple draft for upcoming meeting.
B. Developing a issues briefing document for the 2016-17 HECS Committee
Commissioners started a draft for their briefing document and will finish up via google docs.
C. Review and discussion on San Francisco’s pedestrian safety initiatives and programs
Staff suggest having two people come and present regarding pedestrian initiatives and pro-grams: Ms. Deluga from Vision Zero and Sandra Zuniga from Neighborhood Services. Staff will take lead on scheduling a time where both could present to the Committee.
D. Review and update on recently introduced Legislation at the Board of Supervisors
Keep on eye out on the T line hearing request.

6. Executive Committee Report


Executive Committee is no longer meeting. However, there might be one more special meeting called to close out the year.

7. Staff Report

• Orientation Planning Session is scheduled for tomorrow.
• Hold Labor Day weekend for Orientation Retreat
