1. Call to Order and Roll Call


Vice-Chair Kong called the meeting to order at 5:16pm. Commissioners present: Erica Kong, Cris Plunkett, Jarrett Mao, Lily Marshall-Fricker. Commissioner Giovanna Soto noted present at 5:41. Staff present: Leah LaCroix. There was quorum.

There was no public comment

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)


Commissioner Mao, seconded by Commissioner Marshall-Fricker, moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)

Commissioner Mao, seconded by Commissioner Marshall-Fricker, moved to approve the minutes. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

5. Business (All Items to Follow Discussion and Possible Action)



A. Discussion and Research on committee policy priorities and resolutions

The committee shared updates on their resolutions and policy priorities. There was no public comment.

B. Update on Budget and Policy Priorities

The committee discussed their work plan for developing the final draft of their budget and policy priorities. There was no public comment

C. Review and update on current pertinent legislation

Staff reviewed with the committee the legislation introduced at Tuesday, May 10, 2016 Board of Supervisors meeting. Staff informed that the upcoming full commission meeting will likely include a presentation on the Geary Bus Rapid Transit project, legislation referred from the board on ordinance on collecting sexual orientation and gender identity (BOS File No. 160362), and a presentation on Supervisor Mar’s legislation regarding decriminalizing youth fare evasion, which was referred to the YC. There was no public comment.

6. Executive Committee Report


There was none.

7. Staff Report


Staff shared that the upcoming full commission meeting has been rescheduled for May 23, 2016 in room 416. Staff informed that the commission’s annual budget and policy priorities presentation is scheduled for May 25, 2016. There was no public comment.
