The Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) has a singular focus on preventing and ending homelessness for people in San Francisco. HSH strives to make homelessness in San Francisco rare, brief, and one-time, through the provision of coordinated, compassionate, and high‐quality services. HSH launched on July 1, 2016, and combined key programs previously administered by the Department of Public Health (DPH), the Human Services Agency (HSA), the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD), and the Department of Children, Youth, and Their Families (DCYF).
