  1. Consent
    1. Motion to approve the following pool of arts professionals for the Sunnyside Conservatory Artist Selection Panel: Stacy Garfinkel, Maria del Carmen Carrion, Joyce Chu and Kristen Zaremba.
    2. Motion to approve a mosaic tile beautification project with the Friends of Crocker Amazon and the Excelsior (FACE) and Precita Eyes Mural Center at the Children’s Playground in Crocker Amazon Park.
    3. Motion to approve a dual mural at 3859 and 3881 24 th Street, where the Noe Valley Farmers market takes place, depicting plants related to the Farmers Market and local urban history.

  2. Gallery Report

    Presentation on upcoming San Francisco City Hall Program: Tall in the Saddle: Cowgirls, Ranch Hands and Rodeo Gals. Updates on Lonnie Graham: A Conversation with the World and Bill Fontana.

    Motion:
    Motion to approve an artist honorarium in the amount of $1000 to Ann P. Meredith for her solo exhibition, Tall in the Saddle: Cowgirls, Ranch Hands and Rodeo Gals at City Hall (December 20, 2007 - March 22, 2008).

  3. Korean Monument
    Carol-Marie Daniels and Rick Thall
    Staff Report
    Presentation of Ferry Park redesign and proposed relocation of the Korean monument in Ferry Park. The memorial is currently located in the west end of block 203 near Davis Street, between Washington and Clay Streets. In the redesign of the park, the memorial will be moved to the east end of Block 203, near Drumm Street.

    Motion: Motion to approve the Recreation and Park Department request to relocate the Korean monument, "Movement:The First 100 Years" by Man Lin Choi, from the west end of block 203 near Davis Street, between Washington and Clay, to the east end of Block 203, near Drumm Street, in order to accommodate the redesign of Ferry Park.

  4. 24th and Capp Street Mural
    Presentation of additional design elements to be included into the mural at 24th and Capp Streets.

    Motion:
    Motion to approve additional H.O.M.E.Y design elements for a mural at 24th and Capp streets.

  5. Patricia’s Green
    Jill Manton
    Introduction of proposal by Hayes Valley Community for Fall 2007 Temporary Public Art Project on Patricia’s Green.

  6. Branch Library Improvement Program
    Judy Moran
    Presentation of conceptual proposal by Gina Telcocci for the renovated Potrero Branch Library .

    Motion:
    Motion to approve the conceptual proposal by artist Gina Telcocci for the Potrero Branch Library and to approve the artist to proceed to Design Development and Final Design.

    Motion: Motion to authorize the Director of Cultural Affairs to enter into contract with Gina Telcocci for Final Design, Fabrication, Transportation and Installation of artwork for the renovated Potrero Branch Library for an amount not to exceed $35,000.

  7. Moscone Recreation Center

    Review of alternate sculpture location proposed by Artist Brian Goggin

    Motion: Motion to approve alternative site at Laguna and Francisco Streets for sculpture entitled Guide Post, by Artist Brian Goggin for the Moscone Recreation Center

  8. Public Art Policy Discussion

    Discussion regarding artist selection procedures.

  9. PUC Temporary Projects

    Temporary Projects in Natural Settings—Review of John Melvin’s proposal for a temporary installation at Lake Merced and report on Natural Area’s Program Response.

  10. Sunnyside Conservatory Art Enrichment

    Presentation of new project opportunity and discussion of possible approaches for art enrichment.
