  1. Consent

1. Motion to approve the six final designs, titled Personal Landmarks, by artist
    Jennifer Durrant, to be installed in 24 kiosks on Market Street from   November
   10, 2006, to February 8, 2007, as part of the Art on Market Street 2006 Kiosk
    Poster Series.
2. Motion to increase the contract amount from $85,000 to an amount not to
    exceed $95,000 for artist Troy Corliss to complete design development,
    fabricate, and install a work of art at the Upper Noe Recreation Center.
3. Motion to approve the establishment of a pool of jurors for the Joseph Lee
    Recreation Center selection panel to include: Mildred Howard, Brook
    Mebrahtu, D. Minor, Lena Miller, Kevin Epps and Donald Harper.

    Presentation of final design and budget for artwork by Susan Schwartzenberg and Michael Davis for the Harvey Milk Recreation Center.

    Motion: Motion to approve the final design and budget for artwork by Susan Schwartzenberg and Michael Davis for Harvey Milk Recreation Center.  
  2. Broadway Streetscape Improvements
    Tonia Macneil, Jill Manton

    Presentation of a Conceptual Proposal for artwork by Brian Goggin for the intersection of Broadway and Columbus Streets.  Report on comments from community members and next steps in design process.

    Motion: Motion to approve the conceptual design of the artwork entitled The Language of Birds by Brian Goggin for the intersection of Broadway and Columbus Streets.
  3. Minnie and Lovie Ward Recreation Center
    Tonia Macneil

    Review of materials for artwork at the Minnie and Lovie Ward Recreation Center by Jon Rubin and Jim Goldberg

    Motion: Motion to approve the use of a digital high-pressure laminate and design details for the artwork by Jon Rubin and Jim Goldberg at Minnie and Lovie Ward Recreation Center.
  4. PUC Site Assessment
    Jill Manton

    Recommendation to award Susan Schwarztenberg an honorarium not to exceed $10,000 to develop a Site Profile with photographs along with a narrative of potential artist opportunities for PUC sites to include Lake Merced, McLaren Park, Embarcadero among others.

    Motion: Motion to approve an award to Susan Schwarztenberg for an honorarium not to exceed $10,000 to develop a Site profile and description of potential artist opportunities for PUC sites to include Lake Merced, McLaren Park , Embarcadero among others.
  5. Harvey Milk Commemorative Bust
    Jill Manton

    Report on the Harvey Milk Artist Selection Panel's recommendation of the three finalists to be named at meeting and to award each artist an honorarium of $2,500 to develop a specific proposal for the Harvey Milk Commemorative Sculpture.

    Motion: Motion to accept the Harvey Milk Artist Selection Panel's recommendation of the three finalists to be named at meeting

    Motion: Motion to authorize the Director of Cultural Affairs to award each artist an honorarium of $2,500 to develop a specific proposal for the Harvey Milk Commemorative Sculpture.
  6. Koret Children’s Playground

    Report on modification to the contract with Vicki Saulls for the Koret Children's Playground by authorizing Phase III of the Agreement to Design, Fabricate, Transport and Install an Artwork at the Koret Children's Quarters for a total increase of $15,993 bringing the contract total to the amount of  $53,500.
