- General Public Comment
There was no public comment.
- Director’s Report
Mr. DeCaigny began with an update on Human Resources matters, noting that the two open positions have been widely posted, and the new Director of Communications will start at the end of December.
He reported on the success of The Continuous Thread, the American Indian Initiative, including the recently closed exhibit in the main Gallery, and the fashion show at City Hall.
He also briefly reviewed the grants calendar for the next several months, and noted that the new Arts Impact Endowment funds have been released by the Board of Supervisors.
There was no public comment.
- Arts Commission FY 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 Budget Priorities
Mr. DeCaigny reported on budget instructions received that morning from the Mayor's office. He explained that a fuller budget would be presented to the Committee at its January meeting, and he reviewed the budget calendar. He asked the Committee for general guidance regarding the FY 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 budget. The Committee discussed general budgeting priorities and noted the improvements in the budget over the long term.

- New Business and Announcements
Mr. DeCaigny announced that this would be the last Executive Committee meeting for Commission Secretary Sharon Page Ritchie, who will retire in January.

- Public Employee Performance Evaluation: Director of Cultural Affairs Tom DeCaigny
President Ordeñana called for public comment on all matters pertaining to the closed session.
There was no public comment, and the Committee voted to go into closed session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 and San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.10(b), for the performance evaluation of the Director of Cultural Affairs, Tom DeCaigny.
Closed Session
The Committee met in closed session from 1:09 p.m. until 2:20 p.m. Commissioners Ordeñana, Stryker and Beltran were present in the closed session.
Open Session
The Committee reconvened in open session at 2:20 p.m., with Commissioners Ordeñana, Stryker and Beltran, and Mr. DeCaigny and Ms. Krell in attendance. Pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.12(a), the Committee voted not to report any of the discussions held in closed session.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:21 p.m.
