Present: Karen Cohn, Gloria Thornton, Anjali Nath, Stephanie Manfre

 

1. ATFFiscal Matters

  • Karen gave handout of SFGTV prices for PSA’s, etc.  She is working with Nan and SFGH on a PSA and will use SFGOV tv.
  • Karen dealing with equipment requests, Mayor’s office of Housing wants camera, Helen in Environmental Health also wants one.  May place in 08/09 budget, but for now referrals for camera use go to DBI.  Karen will learn how to get aggregate data of mold complaint calls to DPH Env.Health, as well as violation outcomes.
  • Kaiser grant- Joanna starting stakeholder interviews

 

2.  Committee Issues-

  • ATF needs to write letter from Mitch Katz to Medical Directors about release time for Network meetings, but Mitch Katz only has influence over DPH employees.  Lisa Johnson with UCSF QA may be right person for persons working for UCSF.
  • Housing- Karen wants to promote greater utilization of  DPH-Env Health home evaluations for asthma and DBI Code Enforcement Outreach Program, as two-level approach to reducing environmental triggers.  Karen starting stakeholder interview process to get information related to Healthy Housing legislation.
  • Anjali will work with CAFA evaluation team on finalizing evaluation piece for SFHA regarding camera usage.

 

3. Sustainability- 30 minutes

Plans for November meeting/Review of October meeting- Anjali and Stephanie will meet with Kate Lorenzen from RAMP to plan November meeting.  Will do action item votes of all items in proposed sustainability strategy that Stephanie and Anjali will create a draft document of based upon previous discussions at Task Force meetings.  Anjali to check with Breathe California regarding 0.5 staff person. 

 

4. Preparation for presentation to Charity Care November 2, 2007-  20 minutes

Karen passed out document that she will present to Charity Care Report Planning Group Meeting on November 2nd- regarding potential opportunities for charity care in relation to asthma in prioritized health disparity political districts (Tenderloin/Civic Center/SOMA, Mission/Bernal Heights, BVHP/Potrero).  Her grid prioritizes potential funding opportunities for Asthma Network, Child Care trainings, home assessments, EPP use in SFUSD.  Stephanie will check with City College about the cost of Spanish credit and non-credit courses for child care providers.

1.       APHA 2007 – slides ready- Stephanie will bring back up on flash drive

2.       CAFA Annual Meeting- Anjali and Stephanie will attend—would love to have a 3rd person from ATF
