GENERAL MEETING AGENDA

Report from SFPD on auto/bicycle collision, inc. reporting and investigation guidelines; SFPD interactions with media surrounding auto/bike collisions; arrest/prosecution for auto drivers who hit and injure cyclists; etc. Presentation of citation data for auto/bike collisions in past year. Viewing of new "roll call" video on bicyclists’ right to the road. Also, specific questions concerning the truck/bicycle collision at 13th and S Van Ness, which resulted in the death of a young female cyclist last week. [20 min]**
9. Reviewing and or possible adoption of DPT staff proposal for prioritizing the four projects submitted to the Bicycle Transportation Account Grant Program of the State - Emily [10 min]**
Staff suggests that the projects be prioritized as follows: 1 Waller Street closure at Kezar Drive to make Kezar Drive Path continuous ($308,000) 2 Broadway Tunnel Improvements ($540,000) 3 Market Street Study ($135,000); 4 Rebuilding GG Park’s Martin Luther King Pathway ($172,800)
10. Resolution concerning the future adoption of "bicycle box lanes" to guide cyclists safely through intersections - Nino [5 min]**

BICYCLE ROOM ACCESS
Members of the public wanting access to the bicycle room for BAC meetings should contact Tom Adams at 554-6074. He will give you a code and explain the policies for use of the room. Enter City Hall at the Grove Street entrance. The Bicycle Room (#333) is down the hall to the left, through the second door on the right. Please note that you must obtain a code *in advance* of getting to City Hall.
DISABILITY ACCESS
The Bicycle Advisory Committee’s meeting room, City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 408, is wheelchair accessible. Large print copies of the agenda, sign language interpreters, or assistive listening systems can be made available by contacting the DPT staff liaison, Peter S. Tannen, at (415) 554-2396 at least 72 hours before a meeting.
The closest accessible BART Station is the Civic Center Station at 8th and Market Streets (at the United Nations Plaza). Accessible MUNI/Metro lines to the Van Ness and Civic Center Stations are the J-Church, K-Ingleside, L-Taraval, M-Ocean View, and N-Judah. The downtown bus lines that are accessible include the 9-San Bruno, 71-Haight, and 42-Downtown bus lines. For information about MUNI accessible services, please telephone (415) 923-6142.
Off-street parking is available at the Civic Center Garage located at 355 McAllister St. Please note that the Civic Center Garage does not provide for van access. Off-street parking is also available at the Performing Arts Parking Garage at Grove and Franklin Streets. Blue zones are located at the southeast corner of McAllister Street at Van Ness Avenue (1 space); southwest corner of Van Ness Avenue at McAllister St. (1 space); southwest corner of Van Ness Avenue at Golden Gate Avenue (1 space); southeast corner of Franklin St. at Fulton St. (1 space); northwest and southwest corners of Grove Street at Van Ness Avenue (5 spaces).
In order to assist the City’s efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illnesses, multiple chemical sensitivity, or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to various chemical based products. ADMINISTRATION MEETING AGENDA

2. Communication between members & outside email (i.e. agenda assignments, announcements, minutes, etc) We have three members that are not connected through the internet. We need to established proper communication procedures for these and future members. (Phone Tree possibility) **

4. Sharing administrative workload better- Emily** (I need help keeping SFBAC members up to date on issues; communicating with the public (answering sfbac email and phone msgs.); researching/writing resolutions for meetings; etc.).

6. Putting together a "BAC 101 packet" for new members/applicants - JD (as our Corr. Sect.)**

12. Reviewing SFBAC absence policy (of our bylaws), and reviewing the current number of meetings missed by each SFBAC member. Review of procedures for removing/reinstating a member who misses too many meetings. Possible vote to reinstate members who have missed more than 4 meetings this year (or 3 consecutive meetings). [I believe that Steven and Victor have missed their share of meetings. We need to either reinstate them by a majority vote, or else they will be removed automatically.]- Emily **
