a.      Sarah Tucker Fatality – Bert Hill, District 7
Details and Conditions Associated with the crash, and changes to avoid/prevent future fatalities at intersections.  An SFPD Operations representative has been asked to speak on the facts of the incident.

b.      TDA Funds Bicycle Facilities – Peter Tannen , MTA Bicycle Program Manager

The City and County of San Francisco will apply for up to $500,000 in matching grants for FY 2006-07 TDA Article 3 funds for striping and signing bike lanes (on streets such as Claremont Boulevard (Portola Drive - Dewey Circle), Ocean Avenue (Alemany Boulevard – San Jose Avenue), Clipper Street (Diamond Heights Boulevard- Douglass Street), and Portola Drive (O'Shaughnessy Boulevard - Corbett Avenue), purchasing and installing bicycle racks, and bicycle safety programs; by DPT.
Action: Resolution

Resolved, that the SF Bicycle Advisory Committee has reviewed and concurs with the City and County of San Francisco's application for up to $500,000 in FY 2006-07 TDA Article 3 funds for striping and signing bike lane (on streets such as Claremont Boulevard (Portola Drive - Dewey Circle), Ocean Avenue (Alemany Boulevard – San Jose Avenue), Clipper Street (Diamond Heights Boulevard- Douglass Street), and Portola Drive (O'Shaughnessy Boulevard - Corbett Avenue), purchasing and installing bicycle racks, and bicycle safety programs.

c.       Residential Parking Reform for Downtown (C3 Legislation) – Hitesh Soneji, District 6

Last Fall, legislation was introduced by Supervisor Daly to limit off-street parking for new residential developments in the downtown area.  Supervisor Alioto-Pier has introduced completing legislation with a more generous off-street parking ratio.  Both alternatives add requirements for secure bicycle parking, car-share incentives, and driveway restrictions.

Action:Discussion possibly leading to Resolution introduction  in February
