2. approved minutes from 2/8/01 Working Com’t. mtg.
3. Announcements: JD and Pi Ra met with Matt Gonzalez; Emily also met with MG to discuss BAC membership issues; possible future agenda item (Greg Hayes) concerning Fell St. as
it turns into JFK blvd; JD talked about Pleasanton BART station parking expansion and conflict with Iron Horse Trail; upcoming meetings for MTC Regional Bike Plan (check with Emily); Joe Speaks and Emily had met with police reps over police training changes

6. Consensus approval of resolution urging the Port of SF to include a new bicycle path, primarily off-street, through the Pier 70 redevelopment area
7. Bike Plan Update: revised wording of resolution adopted at 2/21 BAC mtg. concerning update and CEQA Bicycle Service Standard, per Greg’s draft; discussion of further BAC input into update process--decided to let the RFP go forward and reserve further input until consultant selected; discussed composition of committee to meet with update consultant--frequency of meetings, decision-making process, number of members--no decisions; implementation strategies--heard Emily suggest that a rapid in-house DPT revision of bike plan might precede the more thorough consultant-driven update in order to shorten the time during which the City of SF will otherwise be ineligible for State Bicycle Account money.

14. No recent attendance by BAC members at Better Neighborhoods 2002 mtgs. Jim and Lawrence had attended the Transportation Authority CAC meeting on 2/26 at which Caltrans reps said that right turns onto the freeway from Market St. would be barred; that right turns off of the freeway onto Market St. would be permitted only on a green light; fate of Bike Route 45 still undecided
15. bikes and Welfare to Work. Possible tie-in with MTC bike plan, meeting 3/19
