7. Letter of Appreciation to Caltrain (Resolution and Letter to JPB Members) Shirley Johnson: The Joint Powers Board (Caltrain) recently adopted recommendations for increased capacity and better car layout on electrified Caltrain. There is a proposal for issuance of a Resolution for the Board of Supervisors, and a letter to the Joint Powers Board expressing gratitude for working with the peninsula bicycling community and adopting some of the recommendations submitted.

 

8. SB127 State Highways Complete Streets Bill Bert Hill: Discussion on Senator Scott Wiener’s Bill to ensure State Highways that run through local communities are safe and usable by transit riders, pedestrians, and cyclists.

 

9. Spot Projects (Discussion)Bert Hill: Historically, the BAC maintained a list of small projects that we felt required minimal review, or problems of a clear and present danger needing short-term identification and mitigation. We request the MTA Livable Streets Subdivision report back monthly with a response on mitigation, longer-term planning, or refusal to act.
