At this time, members of the public may address the Board on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board except agenda items.  With respect to agenda items, your opportunity to address the Board will be afforded when the item is reached in the meeting with one exception. When the agenda item has already been reviewed in a public hearing at which members of the public were allowed to testify and the Board has closed the public hearing, your opportunity to address the Board must be exercised during the Public Comment portion of the calendar.   Each member of the public may address the Board for up to three minutes.   If it is demonstrated that comments by the public will exceed 15 minutes, the President may continue Public Comment to another time during the meeting.

Appealing a Notice of Decision by the Director of the Dept. of Building Inspection, dated  April 11, 2007, regarding allegations of an unlawful residential demolition at the subject property.

PUBLIC HEARING HELD & CLOSED ON JUNE 20, 2007. FOR FURTHER CONSIDERATION TODAY.  Note: Matter continued to allow time for appellant to seek a settlement with the adjacent neighbors, to submit revised plans, and for the Planning Department to review the matter.

 

ACTION: Upon motion by Vice President Garcia, the Board voted 4 – 0 – 1 (Commissioner Albright absent) to continue the matter to 09/12/07 at the written request of the parties.

Protesting the issuance on April 11, 2007, to Madelyn Chatton, Sidewalk Landscaping Permit.

PUBLIC HEARING HELD & CLOSED ON JUNE 20, 2007. FOR FURTHER CONSIDERATION TODAY.  Note: Matter continued to allow parties time to negotiate a settlement.

 

ACTION: Upon motion by Commissioner Fung, the Board voted 4 – 0 -1 (Commissioner Albright absent) to uphold both permits on condition that both permits be restricted to the portion of the garden directly aligned with the gate, plus an additional six inches on either side of the gate, and that there be no obstructions that prevent the opening of said gate.

ACTION: Upon motion by President Knox, the Board voted 4 – 0 -1 (Commissioner Albright absent) to reschedule the matter to 9/19/07 and to request a written response and appearance from the SFPD.

Protesting the adoption of                       Public Convenience & Necessity Findings for the issuance of twenty-five (25) new alternative fuel or hybrid taxi permits, and twenty-five (25) new ramped taxi permits.

RESOLUTION NO. 2007-20.

FOR HEARING TODAY.

 

ACTION: Upon motion by President Knox, the Board voted 4 – 0 – 1 (Commissioner Albright absent) to uphold the Public Convenience & Necessity Findings, with a finding that the public’s convenience and necessity requires the issuance of said 50 medallions.

ACTION: Upon motion by Vice President Garcia, the Board voted 4 – 0 – 1 (Commissioner Albright absent) to uphold the Notice of Violation.

ACTION: Upon motion by Commissioner Haaland, the Board voted 4 – 0 – 1 (Commissioner Albright absent) to uphold the permit.
