A) Discussion and possible action to recommend to the Board of Supervisors that San Francisco fund the development of a database of people who have abused, neglected or mistreated an animal. This database could be accessed by rescue groups and city shelters to help screen potential adopters and keep abusers from adopting animals through them. In addition, a public list with limited personal information may be posted for any rescue or for-profit group/individual considering placing an animal with someone. A) Discussion and possible action to send a quarterly report on Commission activities to the Board of Supervisors. The SF Health Code sec. 41.3 states that “The Commission shall render written report of its activities to the Board quarterly.” The Commission will discuss and take possible action to decide what should be included in the Fall 2010 quarterly report.
