'Festival Of Harps Day' In San Francisco

"Festival of Harps Day"

San Francisco City Hall on the Grand Staircase in the Rotunda

On Nov. 14, 1999, "Festival of Harps Day" in San Francisco was proclaimed by Mayor Willie Brown. To celebrate this day,there will be a number of free performances throughout San Francisco beginning with a noontime concert in the rotunda of SF City Hal. Artists featured will be the adorable 12 children--" Bay Area Youth Harp Ensemble". Dominique Piana, just up from Southern California, will play on the elegant Classical Pedal Harp. And for those lucky people who came last year, the incredibly entertaining Latin harpist, Carlos Reyes, will perform traditional and contemporary compositions on the Paraguayan Harp. Come and enjoy this very special event.

This performance is part of the 12th Annual Festival of Harps Fall concert season.
