Michael Haberberger, SEIU Local 790 requested a continuance on behalf of Ricardo Paez (Calendar Item #9).  Jim Horan, Departmental Personnel Officer and Ed Lee, Director, Department of Public Works opposed the request.

It was the decision of the Commission to: 1) Grant the request for continuance to the meeting of October 20, 2003.  (Vote of 4 to 1; Commissioner Gorrono dissents) and; 2) The Commission stipulated that this will be the last continuance granted.  (Vote of 5 to 0)
