REQUESTS TO SPEAK (Item No. 17)

  1. Harry Baker, SEIU Local 790 reported on Local 790 negotiating team’s proposal on "Rule of the List" for provisional employees in exchange for transfer and promotive appointments by seniority.
  2. Dorothy Jaymes, SEIU Local 790 spoke in support of Local 790’s proposal.
  3. Saralyn Archie, (As Needed) SFGH spoke in support of Local 790’s proposal.
  4. Linda Joseph, Local 535 spoke that she and the two appellants of Class 2944 Protective Services Supervisor did not receive notice of their hearing.
    1. The Commission instructed Ms. Joseph to submit a request for reconsideration in writing to the Executive Officer in 10 business days.
    2. The item must be calendared for hearing before the Commission can take any action.
    3. The Department of Human Services is to proceed on Class 2944 based on the Civil Service Commission’s decision on the matter.
  1. Elva Cross-Garrett, Local 535 spoke that she did not receive notice of her hearing.
  2. Craig McCracken, Local 535 spoke on the requirement and standard for mutual agreement to expand the certification rule.

  4. Frank Martin del Campo and Patricia Mc Gee on her request to remove records from Ms. Mc Gee’s personnel file. The Commission instructed Mr. Martin del Campo to submit a request if he wishes to appeal the decision of the Executive Officer.
