HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR’S ANNOUNCEMENTS

General Update of the Department of Human Resources Activities and Issues. (Item No. 12)
|
|
Acting Human Resources Director Ted Yamasaki announced the launch of the Department of Human Resources’ fully automated employment center at 44 Gough Street as of February 9, 2007. This introduces the JobApp System which allows people to apply for positions online. There is still a paper process available for those individuals who do not have online capabilities. In addition, all job postings will move from paper postings to electronic postings. The goal is to reduce reliance on paper. This is also the first phase of a multiple phase project ultimately leading to a fully automated system where hiring managers will have for the first time, employment applications as well as access to eligible lists electronically at their desktop.
