(1)      Adopt the Human Resources Director’s report on PSC #4138-08/09 on the condition that the Municipal Transportation Agency meet with TWU Local 200 regarding their concerns and that the Municipal Transportation Agency apprise TWU Local 200 of all training activity that is to take place once the contract is signed.  Notify the offices of the Controller and the Purchaser.  (Vote of 4 to 0)

(2)      Adopt the Human Resources Director’s report on PSC #4140-08/09 on the condition that the Department of Emergency Management shall meet with IFPTE Local 21 to discuss the maximum use of IFPTE Local 21 represented classifications under applicable Department of Homeland Security requirements and guidelines.  Notify the offices of the Controller and the Purchaser.  (Vote of 4 to 0)

(3)      Adopt the Human Resources Director’s report on all remaining contracts.  Notify the offices of the Controller and the Purchaser.  (Vote of 4 to 0)

Note:

Due to the City’s projected budget deficit, the City and employee organizations are in discussions to amend compensation provisions of existing MOUs.  Should there be agreements reached to amend the MOUs, the Commission shall review and amend the salaries of elected officials in accordance with Charter Section A8.409-1.

Salary Setting for the City and County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors for a five (5) year cycle, effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2014, in accordance with Charter Section 2.100  (Item No. 8)

 

 

 

December 15, 2008:

Accept the staff report on the Preliminary Work Plan – Salary Setting for the City and County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors, effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2014 in accordance with Charter Section 2.100.  The Commission requested the City Attorney’s opinion on the provision in Charter Section 2.100 regarding the City and employee organizations amending compensation provisions of existing memorandum of understanding to reduce costs and information on other national consolidated cities and counties.

 

 

 

January 5, 2009:

Set the salary for Member, Board of Supervisors at the current rate of $98,660 annually for a five (5) year cycle effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2014; Increase the salary for each fiscal year effective the second year, July 1, 2010 based on the CPI-U change of the prior calendar year reported in January of each year and not to exceed 5%; Salary will not decrease in the event the CPI-U falls below zero; Transmit to the Controller. (Vote of 4 to 0)
