ATTENTION: LBE Certification applications are now accepted through the Supplier Portal or Paper Application. Applications are no longer accepted through Elations.
LBE Certification is free. The Contract Monitoring Division will review your application and provide technical assistance on the criteria for certification. A site visit of the firm’s premises and interview is required for all new certifications. A site visit may include inspection of the trucking parking sites, suppliers’ inventory and warehouses, and storage of construction equipment. A typical certification period is one or three years. Expedited reviews are possible for firms with a future bid due date. Contact CMD for the expedited review process.
Certified firms may be audited at any time. Certification may be suspended and/or revoked after an audit is performed. Loss of a license will result in immediate suspension until such time the license is reinstated. A certified business is required to notify CMD within ten days of any relevant change affecting its certification eligibility
LBE Certification is optional and is not required to be an approved supplier to the City and County of San Francisco.
A firm can apply for certification online or through the pdf/email process. Firms who apply via the pdf/email process still must have an account with the City and County of San Francisco's Supplier Portal.
Online application for certification and recertification are completed through the City and County of San Francisco’s Supplier Portal. The Elations application portal closed on June 24, 2018.
