1.          CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
          President Carolene Marks called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.
          Commissioner Emily Murase excused.
          Commissioner Valerie Tulier excused.

2.          ADOPTION OF AGENDA
m/s/c (Keehn/Shorter/Approved) To adopt the agenda for the Tuesday, March 12, 2002, Special Meeting.

3.          PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT/HIRING: Executive Director of the Department on the Status of Women.

A.          Public Comment: (on all matters pertaining to the Closed Session)
No public comment.

B.          Closed Session: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 and San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.10(b) discussion regarding appointment of Executive Director.

           President Marks convened the meeting in Closed Session at 3:10 p.m.

          President Carolene Marks reconvened the Open Session at 6:16 p.m.

C. Open Session: Reconvene in Open Session and, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.12(b)(4):

Motion and vote to report any action or roll call vote taken concerning appointment of Executive Director.

m/s/c (Keehn/Shorter/Unanimous) Moved to report next steps.
Motion to disclose that they will have another round of interviews on Monday, March 18, 2002 starting at 4:00 p.m. and that they have set a date for potential second round interviews on Friday, March 22, 2002.

5.          ADJOURNMENT (requires motion and public comment)
