 All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda and are considered to be routine by the Commission on the Status of Women.  They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item.  Members of the public may speak on each item listed on the Consent Agenda.

Action:  To approve a resolution urging Hyatt Fisherman’s Wharf and HEI Le Meridien Hotel to allow its workers to choose, free from delay and intimidation, whether to have a union through a card-check neutrality agreement

 

VII.   OLD BUSINESS

 

A.     Nominations of Officers for 2009-2010                                              President Shorter                    10 min.

The Commission will nominate candidates for President and Vice President of the Commission for

2009-2010.  The election will take place at the June 24 Commission meeting. 

Action: To nominate candidates for President and Vice President for 2009-2010.

 

B.           Meeting Calendar                                                                  Executive Director Murase   10 min.

The Commission will discuss changing the Commission’s Strategic Planning Session from July to November, and other meeting dates            

Action:  To approve the proposed remaining 2009 meeting schedule.

This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for Commission’s future consideration.

Goodlett Place (San Francisco City Hall) and Grove Street.  In order to assist the City’s efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to various chemical based scented products.  Please help the City to accommodate these individuals.
