1. Dr. Amy Hart, Chief Medical Examiner
Dr. Amy Hart, Chief Medical Examiner for San Francisco, will provide an overview of her office’s role in the response to family violence deaths.
2. Kathy Baxter, Co-Chair of Child Death Review Team
Kathy Baxter, Co-Chair of the Child Death Review Team, will discuss rationale for Death Review Teams and protocols for reviewing child deaths.
3. Mary Counihan, Member of Elder Death Review Team
Mary Counihan of Adult Protective Services and a member of the Elder Death Review Team will present information about the Elder Death Review process.
B. Topics for Future Meetings DISCUSSION/ACTION 10 min.
Council members will discuss meeting topics for the coming year.
C. Current Trends in Family Violence / Info Sharing DISCUSSION 5 min.
Meeting participants will have the opportunity to reflect on and share new or emerging trends in the field of family violence. This will also be an opportunity for sharing relevant information with attendees.
VI. PUBLIC COMMENT DISCUSSION 5 min.
This item is to allow members of the public to comment, for a maximum of 2 minutes each, on matters within the Council’s purview, as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Council’s future consideration.
