A.  Governance Committee                                                                 Beverly Upton/Kathy Black

Beverly Upton and Kathy Black will report on its efforts to identify potential new panel members for January 2009.

 

B.  Audit Implementation Committee                                                     Ken Theisen/Kathy Black

Ken Theisen and Kathy Black will give a report on the Audit Implementation Committee.  The next meeting of the committee will be December 12, 2008.  The location is 50 Fell Street, San Francisco, CA  94102.

 

D.  Batterer Accountability Committee                                                  Mary Cavanaugh

Mary Cavanaugh will report on the work of the Batterer Accountability Committee.  The next meeting of the Committee is Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 25 Van Ness Avenue, Suite 130.

A.     JUS.T.I.S.                                                                                                      Staff/Upton

The status of the JUS.T.I.S Project will be updated.  The next meeting of the JUS.T.I.S. Steering Committee is Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 10:00am, at City Hall Room #305.

 

 

 

 

B.     Family Violence Council                                                                               Beverly Upton

Beverly Upton will update the Panel on the Family Violence Council.  The next meeting of the Council is Thursday, January 15, 2009 from 3-4:30 pm.  The location is 400 McAllister (at Polk), 5th Floor Conference Room.

                                                                                   

C.     Stalking Task Force                                                                                     Jill Tregor

Jill Tregor will provide an update on the District Attorney’s Stalking Task Force.  The Stalking Task Force will discuss the recommendations of the Safety and Accountability Audit at its next meeting, on December 12, 2008 at 3pm. The meeting will be held at the Office of the District Attorney, in the Library.

 

D.     Current Domestic Violence Cases/Trials                                                    Beverly Upton

Beverly Upton will provide an update to the Oversight Panel about any current domestic violence cases that require attention or support.

The next meeting of the Justice & Courage Oversight Panel is Wednesday, February 4, 2009, from 9am-Noon at City Hall, Room #408, San Francisco, CA  94102.

 

American Sign Language interpreters and a Sound Amplification System provided upon request with 48-hour advance notice to 415-252-2570. Translation into languages other than English is also available with 48-hour notice. Limited accessible street parking available.  Accessible MUNI Metro station in the Powell and lines are J, K, L, M and N.  Accessible MUNI Lines are the 30 and 45.   Accessible seating for persons with disabilities (including those using wheelchairs) will be available.  Meeting proceedings available in alternative formats.  In order to assist the City's efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to various chemical based products.  Please help the City to accommodate these individuals.  To obtain a disability-related modification or accommodation, including auxiliary aids or services, to participate in the meeting, please contact the Department on the Status of Women at least two business days before the meeting at 415-252-2570 (Voice) or 415-252-2550 (TTD).  The Board of Supervisors has amended the Sunshine Ordinance by adding provision 67A.1.  The provision is effective as of January 21, 2001.

The ringing of and use of cell phones, pagers, and similar sound producing electronic devices are prohibited at this meeting.  Please be advised that the Chair may order the removal from the meeting room of any person(s) responsible for the ringing or use of a cell phone, pager or other similar sound-producing electronic devices.
