IV.       OLD BUSINESS

 

A.        Photo Documentation of Injuries                               DISCUSSION/ACTION         5 min

Dr. Leigh Kimberg will provide an update about the progress made in coordinating a community training on new photo documentation requirements.

 

V.         NEW BUSINESS                                                       

 

A.        Child Support Services Update                                  DISCUSSION/ACTION         10 min. 

Sheryl Myers of Child Support Services will provide an update on the new automated system linking CSS client records with Human Services Agency, with indicators for family violence. 

 

B.        Report on Family Violence in San Francisco             DISCUSSION/ACTION         20 min.

Explanatory Document – Annual Report on Family Violence in San Francisco, FY07-08.

The Steering Committee will present the Report on Family Violence in San Francisco for FY07-08 for discussion/approval of the Council, and members will discuss a plan for promotion of the report and next steps.   

Action: To approve the Annual Report on Family Violence in San Francisco, FY07-08

 

C.        Intervention Services                                                 DISCUSSION/ACTION         40 min.

Explanatory Document – Chart of Intervention/Treatment Services

The Council will discuss the current services and programs for perpetrators of family violence, including mandated batterer intervention programs and parenting programs, and voluntary interventions, and brainstorm ways to fill gaps in services. 

 

D.        Current Trends in Family Violence/Announcements            DISCUSSION                         10 min.

Meeting participants will have the opportunity to reflect on and share new or emerging trends in the field of family violence.  This will also be an opportunity for sharing relevant information and announcements with attendees.

 

VI.       PUBLIC COMMENT                                                            DISCUSSION                         4 min.

This item is to allow members of the public to comment, for a maximum of 2 minutes each, on matters within the Council’s purview, as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Council’s future consideration.

The nearest BART station is Civic Center Plaza at the intersection of Market, Grove, and Hyde Streets.  The MUNI Metro lines are the J, K, L, M, and N (Civic Center Station or Van Ness Avenue Station).  MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 6, 7, 9, 21, 47, 49, 71, and F Market.  Accessible curbside parking is available on 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place (San Francisco City Hall) and Grove Street.  In order to assist the City’s efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to various chemical based scented products.  Please help the City to accommodate these individuals.
