Discussion of progress in reaching goals and addressing ideas raised at previous Council meetings.

 

V.         NEW BUSINESS                                                       

 

A.        Animal Care & Control: Vicky Guldbech                  DISCUSSION/ACTION         30 min.

Animal Care and Control Operations Manager and designee to the Family Violence Council, Vicky Guldbech, will present information about the role of Animal Care and Control in responding to family violence situations.  Discussion and action based on the information presented may occur.

 

B.        Victim’s Game of Life                                                 DISCUSSION                         25 min.

Council will engage in an activity drawn from the Domestic Violence Response Cross-Training Institute to experience the challenges victims of family violence face.

 

C.        Current Trends in Family Violence / Info Sharing     DISCUSSION                         10 min.

Meeting participants will have the opportunity to reflect on and share new or emerging trends in the field of family violence.  This will also be an opportunity for sharing relevant information with attendees.

 

VI.       PUBLIC COMMENT                                                            DISCUSSION                         4 min.

This item is to allow members of the public to comment, for a maximum of 2 minutes each, on matters within the Council’s purview, as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Council’s future consideration.

The nearest BART station is Civic Center Plaza at the intersection of Market, Grove, and Hyde Streets.  The MUNI Metro lines are the J, K, L, M, and N (Civic Center Station or Van Ness Avenue Station).  MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 6, 7, 9, 21, 47, 49, 71, and F Market.  Accessible curbside parking is available on 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place (San Francisco City Hall) and Grove Street.  In order to assist the City’s efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to various chemical based scented products.  Please help the City to accommodate these individuals.
