Action: To approve minutes from meeting of August 5, 2009.
Action: To approve minutes from the strategic planning meeting of October 7, 2009.

A.  Governance Committee                                 Upton/Black

Beverly Upton and Kathy Black will report on the Governance Committee.   

 

B.  Audit Implementation Committee                 Theisen/Black

Ken Theisen and Ms. Black will report on the Audit Implementation Committee.  The next meeting of the committee will be held Friday, January 15, 2010, 10:00 am, Bay Area Legal Aid, 50 Fell Street.

C.  Batterer Accountability Committee

     No report.

D. JUSTIS                                                          Upton/Staff

An update of the JUSTIS Project will be provided.

 

      E.   Family Violence Council                              Upton/Staff

Ms. Upton will report on the Family Violence Council.  The next meeting of the Family Violence Council will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2010, 3:00pm – 4:30 pm, San Francisco Superior Court, 400 McAllister, Room 617.

 

     F.  Stalking Task Force  

No report.


IV.     OLD BUSINESS                                                                                    DISCUSSION/ ACTION

 

A.     Strategic Planning Retreat               All

Action: To approve the Justice and Courage Oversight Panel Strategic Plan 2008 – 2011, Revised for 2010 - 2011.

 

B.     Domestic Violence Cases/Trials                  Upton

Ms. Upton will provide an update on any current domestic violence cases that require attention or support.

 

V.        NEW BUSINESS                                                                       DISCUSSION/ACTION

A.    Meeting Dates for 2010                             All
       Action: To approve the 2010 calendar of quarterly meetings for the Justice and
       Courage Oversight Panel.

This item allows members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Panel’s purview as well as to suggest agenda items for future consideration.

Justice and Courage Oversight Meeting

American Sign Language interpreters and a Sound Amplification System provided upon request with 48-hour advance notice to 415-252-2570. Translation into languages other than English is also available with 48-hour notice. Limited accessible street parking available.  Accessible MUNI Metro station in the Powell and lines are J, K, L, M and N.  Accessible MUNI Lines are the 30 and 45.  Accessible seating for persons with disabilities (including those using wheelchairs) will be available.  Meeting proceedings available in alternative formats.  In order to assist the City's efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to various chemical based products.  Please help the City to accommodate these individuals.  To obtain a disability-related modification or accommodation, including auxiliary aids or services, to participate in the meeting, please contact the Department on the Status of Women at least two business days before the meeting at 415-252-2570 (Voice) or 415-252-2550 (TTD).  The Board of Supervisors has amended the Sunshine Ordinance by adding provision 67A.1.  The provision is effective as of January 21, 2001.
