CEDAW Task Force 1998-2006
The CEDAW Task Force was created in 1998 when San Francisco passed the landmark ordinance to ensure gender equality in all City and County services, programs, and employment practices. The Task Force oversaw the Gender Analysis of 6 City departments, and provided progress reports to the Mayor and Board of Supervisors. The Task Force disbanded in 2006 and no longer meets. The Commission on the Status of Women now oversees the implementation of the CEDAW Women's Human Rights Ordinance.
