For Immediate Release
SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, May 8, 2018–The Department of Elections seeks poll workers for the June 5 election.

For one day of service, poll workers receive a stipend ranging from $142 to $195, depending on their assignment. People fluent in Chinese, Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese, or Korean in addition to English are encouraged to apply.

Anyone interested in volunteering as a poll worker can call our recruitment team at (415) 554-4395 or apply in person at the Department of Elections in City Hall, Room 48. Those who apply in person can take advantage of early voting at the City Hall Voting Center, which is open now through Election Day, Tuesday, June 5.

Many community members have already joined the City’s poll worker team to help administer voting at neighborhood polling places on Election Day. Community participation is key to ensuring adequate voter assistance and support, and we look forward to welcoming other civic-minded individuals to the team.
