CALL TO ORDER

The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:07P.M.

ROLL CALL

Deputy Director Jocelyn Kane called the Roll. 

Present at the meeting were Commissioners Jim Meko, Terrance Alan, Audrey Joseph, Justin Roja, John Newlin and Nicky Calma.

Absent at the time of roll call were Joseph Pred.

Staff present was, Jocelyn Kane, Vajra Granelli and Crystal Stewart.

Chair Joseph stated that Commissioner Pred has resigned the Commission.

1.      PUBLIC COMMENT

Michael Nulty, Executive Directorand Board President for Alliance for a Better District 6 wished the Entertainment Commission a happy 6^th anniversary and commended them on their functions and duties for the past 6 years.

2. Introduction of Entertainment Commission By-Law changes. [Discussion]

Commissioner Meko moved to continue the item to the next Commission meeting July 21, 2009 Commissioner

3. Commissioner’s Comments & Questions. [Discussion Item]

Chair Joseph stated the passing of Michael Jackson was a loss to the music industry and he changed the history of music and was one of the first African Americans Icons that appeared on MTV along with Sylvester and Prince.

4. New Business Requests for Future Agenda Items. [Discussion Item]

(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce agenda items for future consideration).

No new business was discussed.

Chair Joseph stated following the adjournment the Entertainment Commission meeting the Commission would host its 6^th anniversary party at the Bambuddha Lounge located at 601 Eddy Street.
