The SF Outdoor Events Network (SFOEN) is an initiative of the SF Entertainment Commission that provides networking, training, and promotion opportunities for the outdoor event industry. Through mixers, learning sessions, and online conversations, SFOEN brings together the industry to strengthen the vitality of community and cultural events. 


“Zero Waste Events: How to Prepare for Event Success”

Presented as a part of the SF Outdoor Events Network, a mixer and education series for the event industry.

At this workshop and panel, you will learn:

-- Mandatory composting and recycling requirements for holding events in SF
-- New rules in 2020 for reusable beverage cups and food ware
-- Creative and cost-effective strategies for holding green events from event professionals

Plus: Connect with industry professionals and expand your network!

NOTE: This is an opportunity to fulfill the SF Dept. of the Environment’s Zero Waste Training requirement for event producers applying for a street closure or facility use permit with City and County of San Francisco permitting agencies. Participants who complete this workshop will receive a Certificate of Completion for Zero Waste Training from the SF Dept. of the Environment.
