Can't afford to pay your BART proof of payment citation?

BART iconIf you were 18 or older when you received a Proof of Payment Citation, you can have your citation dismissed by performing 5 hours of community service at an organization of your choice.

Step 1: Request community service and select the organization where you will volunteer

Note: Participants must complete community service and submit verification form within 8 weeks of citation date.

To request community service and select the organization where you will volunteer, request and complete the Community Service Work Waiver of Liability form, available at: citationprocessingcenter.com

Step 2: Complete your 5 hours of community service and submit verification to BART

After completing your 5 hours of community service, submit the verification form by mail or in-person to BART Police Department within 8 weeks from the date of the citation.
