1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 9:36 a.m.
Present: Adult Probation Department; District Attorney’s Office; Police Department; Public Defender’s Office; Superior Court; City Administrator’s Office; Department on the Status of Women
Absent: Department of Emergency Management; Mayor’s Office; Juvenile Probation; Sheriff’s Department; Department of Technology

2. Adoption of Agenda - Action Item

The agenda was adopted.

3. Adoption of Meeting Minutes - Action Item

Minutes from the meeting held on February 26, 2015 were approved.

4. Executive Sponsor Update: City Administrator's Office – Discussion

The City Administrator’s Office is working on moving the JUSTIS infrastructure from 200 Paul Street to 1011 Turk Street by early June. The purchasing process has been started to buy the equipment. The City Administrator’s Office will not purchase software escrow service for the New World Systems Aegis software.

5. Technical Steering Committee Update - Discussion

JUSTIS has been working on solving a support issue that happens daily at midnight. JUSTIS has also moved Police incident data from the JUSTIS environment to their staging area so that the Department of Technology can coordinate directly with the DA’s Office on moving it to an appropriate development server. JUSTIS development on the Hub connection with the DA’s DAMION system continues. JUSTIS is working with the DA’s vendor to finish the XML changes for probation data and validation for geo-coded addresses and non-CMS fields. A meeting to discuss the booking notification system is being planned. JUSTIS is working with the Sheriff’s Department to upgrade their JMS system to version 10.2.

6. Case Management System Updates – Discussion

Department on the Status of Women

The Department on the Status of Women has reached out to other departments to start discussing domestic violence data. They are working on a federal grant to support a domestic violence lethality assessment app. They are interested in seeing how JUSTIS can help with the project and will prepare more information for a future JUSTIS Council meeting.

Juvenile Probation

Not present.

District Attorney

The DA is working on their connection with the JUSTIS hub. They will get an updated schedule from their vendor. Beth Munger, IT Project Manager, was introduced to the JUSTIS Council. She will be working on a number of IT projects, including the Discovery Module paperless project.

Public Defender

None.

Police Department

The Police Department is starting their move into the new Public Safety Building over the weekend of March 28th. The Crime Data Warehouse version three is launching on April 14, 2015.

Sheriff's Department

Not present.

Adult Probation

The department had planned to start testing their new SPF application with the California Department of Justice, but this process has been delayed due to power outages at the Hall of Justice. The new Chief Adult Probation Officer, Karen Fletcher, will start on March 30, 2015.

Superior Court

The traffic court system is due to be implemented by July 2015. Business analysis for the criminal system is underway and is expected to be completed by mid-May 2015.
