2. Public Comment

Members of the public may address the Commission for up to three minutes on any matter within the Commission’s jurisdiction but do not appear on the agenda. Speakers shall address their remarks to the Commission as a whole and not to individual Commissioners or Department personnel.  The lack of a response by the Commissioners or Department personnel does not necessarily constitute agreement with or support of statements made during public comment.

3. Review and Approval of Minutes from April 9, 2008 Meeting  (ACTION ITEM)

4. Schedule hearing date to discuss system delays and other needs for juvenile offenders.  (DISCUSSION ONLY)

5. Bonding for summer youth programs  (DISCUSSION ONLY)

6. Discussion and possible action to designate representatives of the Juvenile Probation Commission to meet with the Mayor and present a logical argument against further cuts to the JPD budget.  (DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION)

         The Commission will hear public comment on all agenda items before or during discussion of the item. The period of time allowed for public comment may be modified by the Chair in the interest of fairness to all those wishing to address the Commission.
