Members of the public may address the Commission for up to three minutes on any matter within the Commission’s jurisdiction but do not appear on the agenda. Speakers shall address their remarks to the Commission as a whole and not to individual Commissioners or Department personnel.  The lack of a response by the Commissioners or Department personnel does not necessarily constitute agreement with or support of statements made during public comment.

5.         Temporary appointment of commissioner to prepare minutes, assist with agendas pending hire of new commission secretary (DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION)

 

6.         Juvenile Probation Commission Secretary Position (DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION)

 

Discussion and possible action regarding all matters pertaining to staffing the Juvenile Probation Commission Secretary position, including but not limited to job duties and responsibilities, classification, compensation, recruitment procedures, and the possible impact of those matters on other budgeted positions within the Department.

-The City Attorney's Office will be hosting its annual Sunshine training on 

Monday, March 3, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Herbst Theater.  The training is mandatory for all department heads, commissioners and elected officials.

         The Commission will hear public comment on all agenda items before or during discussion of the item. The period of time allowed for public comment may be modified by the Chair in the interest of fairness to all those wishing to address the Commission.
