Information Bulletins for Design and Construction of Accessible Buildings
A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR:
The Mayor's Office on Disability is proud to release these nine Informational Bulletins on designing accessible housing. They are intended for wide use and distribution, and are compiled here to help ensure consistent accessibility for Deaf and disabled residents in San Francisco.
These Bulletins provide guidance on federal, state, and local accessibility codes and regulations when designing and constructing new or altered public buildings, public accommodations, commercial buildings and public housing. The guidance contained is based on accessibility best practices and concepts of Universal Design, and is provided in conjunction with the Mayor's Office on Housing and Community Development, Mercy Housing, and Mikiten Architecture.
The Information Bulletins are updated periodically to reflect changes in the codes and regulations.
A NOTE ABOUT ELECTRONIC ACCESSIBILITY:
These Bulletins are detailed architectural design drawings and as such, are largely visual in nature. If you would like assistance accessing these documents, please contact the Mayor's Office on Disability at firstname.lastname@example.org or (415) 554-6789.
