Threatened litigation against the City relating to DGO 3.10

The Commission may decide to consider Item Nos. 4 to 7, in whole or in part, in Closed Session pursuant to Government Code section 54957(b)(1) and S.F. Administrative Code section 67.10(b). In which case:
a. Public Comment on all matters pertaining to the Closed Session.

b. Reconvene to open session:

i. Possible report on action taken in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code section 54757.1 and S.F. Administrative Code section 67.12(b).

ii. Vote whether to disclose any or all of the discussion held in Closed Session pursuant to S.F. Administrative Code section 67.12(a).

4. Request of the Chief of Police to withdraw the matter of Officer Huitier Choi (File No. C04-005 JWA) from the Police Commission for disposition at the Chief=s level (ACTION ITEM)

5. Request of the Chief of Police to withdraw the matter of Inspector Kevin M. Whitfield (File No. C03-347 JWA) from the Police Commission for disposition at the Chief=s level (ACTION ITEM)

6. Request of the Chief of Police to withdraw the matter of Officer Bert Filamor (File No. C03-149 JWA) from the Police Commission for disposition at the Chief=s level (ACTION ITEM)

7. Discussion and possible action to take off calendar indefinitely charges filed against Officer Steven Redd (File No. C03-262 JWA) who submitted his resignation effective June 8, 2005. Said disciplinary charges will be placed back on calendar should the officer be within the jurisdiction of the Police Commission in the future (ACTION ITEM)

15. Scheduling of items identified for consideration at future Commission meetings (DISCUSSION ONLY)

PLEASE NOTE: The Police Commission will be holding a Special Meeting this month at a location other than City Hall.

1. The Commission will hold its Community Meeting at the Taraval District, West Portal Elementary School, #5 Lenox Way, San Francisco, at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 29, 2005, to hear comments from the public and Taraval Station Captain Keith Sanford concerning public protections issues in the Taraval District.
